Womp-momp-meeta-momp!

Growing up, I was lucky enough to have one of the best friends around. Sometimes we might not have wanted to admit we were actually friends, but I think we were.
This wonderful friend of mine would suggest things like, " Let's play animal crash up derby. You can be the ant and I'll be the rhinoceros!" You can imagine how that derby ended. . . Usually with me hanging upside down by my leg from the springs on the trampoline! I think I still have scars!

               Such an innocent face!

But really, this friend of mine is also my brother. The only brother amongst three sisters. He and I spent many hours playing GI Joes (and Barbies), Mad Max (and Polly Pockets), micro machines,  creating huts out of tall weeds, shoveling silage, and learning to drive mini vans!

My brother is a fun loving, tang drinking, brownie eating, book reading, hard working family man.

Happy Birthday, brother! I hope your day is as awesome as you are!

For those wondering, womp-momp-meeta-momp is a word we invented while in the silage pit one day. It can mean anything so today it means happy birthday Jesse!

  1. I would like to comment and add something but I think you nailed it very well, so, I will join with you in wishing Jesse Happy Birthday. I will add though that it is a much nicer day than it was when the Bishop of the Fayette Ward came out to the rig we were dry watching to let us know that we were Grand Parents of a little boy. We made our way to Price in a blizzard to meet the little toe head and liked him right away. Happy Birthday Jesse, Grampa Cook.

My name is Mandie. I am a lover of the Fall season, cloudy weather, rural places, potato chips, getting mail, family, friends, the gospel, Winston, writing and so much more! I needed a hobby, so I started a blog. My life is normally pretty boring, blogging has given me a reason to try new things and be aware of the world around me because surely there is something to learn every day if we are paying attention!
